The Sherina, the Feminine, Imminent Aspect of God
In a jewish mystical tradition, the sherina is the name for the feminine aspect of god. For me, the cerina is a trans feminine archetype, because she doesn't have a female body. I decided i had to mix together language that wasn't mine, cause what do i know about how she would talk? So i took words from a chapter of isaiah where god is speaking certified god language, and i mixed them with words that i found in an article in cosmopolitan magazine,. mushed them around until i heard the chahina speak. And so this poem is called body painting, and definitely speaks to trans experience. It's always your first time and your last
