The DoJ Special Counsel's Approach to the January 6th Indictment of Donald Trump

This is now the third time Donald Trump has been indicted, but it feels different to me. It goes right really to the heart of our democracy. When I worked at the New Jersey Attorney General's office, I supervised all county-level prosecutors across the state. The best approach is to charge the most serious crime that you can amply support with the evidence and easily explain to a jury. Keep it simple and keep it strong.
