How Much Footprint Evidence Do We Have?
excavators and archaeologists are becoming a lot more sensitive to the different kinds of evidence that they may have recorded at their sights. In terms of how much footprint evidence we should pet, matthew bennet is always keen to relate the anecdote that there are only 200 odd bones in the human body. We have the potential to leave hundreds of thousands of footprints in our lifetimes. So we would expect lots and lots of footprint evidence. But it's detecting it and excavating it carefully in order to preserve this very delicate evidence that is what is changing.
