The China Challenge for the United States

A lot has happened since you left china and wrote your book. And to day we're witnessing a very different china, a very different us. One of the big changes is that technology has become really more of a tool by the state and the party than it is atool by the people to day. The state's been very effective in using technology, both to maintain its political primacy and then also as a way of preserving its national security. You know, i think it's one of the reasons why china is at odds with the rest of the world.
