Some studies suggest that there's a gene variant that controls how we metabolize caffeine. It looks like it could be, I don't know, 10%, 20% of people might have mutual effects with caffeine. You can get a genetic test to find out, but that's kind of maybe overkill for a lot of people at this point. The doses that are typically used in studies are usually somewhere between 3 and 6 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.
