Why My Parents Wanted to Voyage
My father wanted to celebrate Captain Cook. Great explorer nobody was doing anything to celebrate the anniversary of his voyages and you shared his name. I think it was also a very useful way to raise funds for the voyage if I'm honest. My mother got seasick quite badly. Seesick actually and would disappear for several days at the start of each each time after we left port. She really didn't like sailing but there was no way she was going to be apart from my father they were very very close as a couple.
