Was he known to have lectured against the eugenicists or anything like that? Not that I know of, but certainly these ideas are circulating. So you're seeing non-fictional essays engaging with this burgeoning pseudoscience of eugenics. And so these ideas are sort of in the air. Mm hmm. It's not only that literature in maybe some other forms, maybe a popular literature as expressed in cartoons and so on, might be expressing a stereotype about this race problem. But also literature's ability to push back against it.
