Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence
We're in the kepler era and we're waiting for the first principles to come along. No amount of data sets getting larger would have helped without these incredible advances in how fast computers are. Iam a believer that the most important thing was really the expansion of our ability to get computation data sets. It went from something that you can barely do and it wasn't really that interesting, to now feeling like this is something that people can teach themselves and use in all kinds of interesting ways. This has been a wonderful opportunity to hear thoughts from one of the leaders who is working and applying modern machine learning to some of the most important problems in medicine.
