Thante, Taddio and the State of Science in the 20th Century

The film is meant to be a resident of these earlier periods in history but it's also very much of its moment and again weirdly resonant right now. One of the things that people are hashing out at the middle of the 20th century is where what is the state of science as we're moving from small independent laboratories to larger university based labs or corporate labs. I feel like part of what Thante, Taddio has to negotiate right is, is he going to put his, you know, where which side does he go with?
