Trump's appeal was that he really made you laugh at his opponent. He happily belittled them and it stuck in your... I mean, he's good at insult. But DeSantis has no of those grace notes in his character. No, he looks like he's angry all the time. His default face is a sneer. He actually seems too mean to get elected. The thought that he could elevate these people to positions that would be a model for him just means he hasn't thinking about it very much.
