I lost my mom to Alzheimer's in 2017, but it was a seven-year process. She would forget and then couldn't move and then she passed away. But what I loved is when we would go and visit her and she was in her bed,. Even when she couldn't speak, she would smile and look at us with these beautiful eyes. And so sometimes people are either chronically ill or they are terminally ill, sometimes they might feel like they don't have anything to contribute or they don't matter.
