In certain parts of the Labour base and the Labour activists there is very very strong views on race which the leadership is absolutely nowhere near those views. The party doesn't do proper research proper data it always assumes that black and Asian mixed race people see their lives through the lens of race. A lot of people don't as well want a political party to say you know come and join us join the BAME sections that's the one for you. And so in that sense this is something that Labour needs to recognise its own weaknesses some points are very good about if you look at local councils for example representation on local councils is still terrible.
