The Euro Velo Route: A Guide to Safe Cycling

The euro velo network started off as sketches on a napkin really in the 1990s I think the original inspiration was probably the Danish national cycle route network. The ones along river tend to be tow paths sometimes they're along disused railway lines and so it's really pure cycling you know not shared with car traffic. Some of them will be dual signed or only euro velo signed or some of them are less well signed but that's one of the things that we work with our national partners to try to make sure it does have that euro velo branding alongside whatever you know national route it might also be.
