What Is Wonderful?
Noah Webster was working on his 1828 dictionary and his definition of wonderful is adapted to excite wonder or admiration, exciting surprise, strange astonishing. And it's very clear that wonderful is by no means a good thing in biblical terms. So just to give you a couple of examples, here's one sentence from Jeremiah. Then another one from Deuteronomy, then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful.
