Spelunky: A Collection of Jigsaw Pieces
I think Spelunky is really like a collection of jigsaw pieces that have all fit together perfectly to be this beautiful thing and so when you're a designer you look at it and you just fall in love with certain jigsaw puzzle pieces but the reality is Spelunky works because all of those pieces are there. I've got a bunch of designs around an ASCII art roguelike which may take five years before I put them out. It's interesting where Spelunky just there was sort of a movement both in the indie side maybe and the triple A side as like Dark Souls became prominent. The whole game world is built to serve you and I've been thinking about that a lot
