Religious Rituals Can Foster Social Cooperation
Rituals are triggering the orphan system by taking part and particularly when they're highly highly synchronized as they indeed are in Islam prayers public prayers. But that's different to the fact that all these doctrinal religions also impose discipline from one top so it's working top-down and bottom up at the same time small-scale traditional religion shamanistic type religions make static type religions work bottom up.
