A year and a half to go for the general election, Mr. Modi and his party already seem to be in campaign mode. The kind of freebies that they've started offering, you know, on gas cylinders and other areas suggests that the BJP is already in election mode. In Gujarat, I would say both the parties, not just the BJP, I mean, Arvind K. Dhruval spends at least two to three days of the week in Gujarat. They have also really sort of stepped up their campaign, Ahmad Mee party. After winning Punjab, they feel that they have a genuine chance to replace Congress.
