The first buddhist verse that i ever read, when i was an undergraduate freshman and an introduction to world religion class, was from the dama pada. The untrained mind is like a fish flapping on dry ground, you know? And i thought, oh, that's exactly what my mind is like. Someone understands me. Someone s and this is a great area for me to mention, just a note of appreciation that you talk about john cage and diti zuki at some length in there,. because both of those two gentlemen have been huge influences on me over his life for decades. Big fan, big fan.
