Is There a Long-Range Future?
The next point in the most important century series is that that long-run future could come a lot faster than that. And one reason for that is that the right kind of AI could lead to a productivity explosion. So it's imaginable we could reach a long- run future that is very sci-fi, very wacky, and sort of stable across potentially billions of years.
