When the fly goes from one flower to the other drinking nectar, it gets doused in pollen as it sticks to the hair. And so we were able to use these insect smoties to sequence the dema of the pollen grains. Even the pesky bush fly that's related to the house fly, can polinate up to 15 different varieties of native plants. So yes, we hate bush flies and house flies, but they're out there doing this amazing job in nature, free of charge, helping to polinate native plants. I ges they do deserve some slack. They do.
