The Payoff of Hypergamy
The payoff of hypergamy is the growth and prosperity that were down to the man as a result. A top 10% man can only indirectly benefit a woman if she can acquire and maintain access to him. He directly benefits from being stronger and wealthier and higher status. These things are primarily good for him, and at best, only secondarily good for others.
