The Concept of Direct Democracy in the Soviet Union
The first constitution of the Soviet Union gives an idea of what a state under socialism could look like. A proletarian state, in the hands of the working class, is not just a reformed version of a capitalist state. It doesn't co-opt the parliamentary structures and rules of the bourgeoisie to use them for their own purposes. The constitutional rules that will govern these state structures wouldn't be abstract; they would simply describe relations between classes and subject towards or against each other.
