The Importance of Point of Care Ultrasound in Medical School
We're not really taught how sensitive or specific these tests are in medical school. We spend a lot of time learning them when perhaps we could or should be learning how to use point of care ultrasound which some schools. At least to correlate with our physical exam findings. When I'm listening to the heart for my S3 maybe I should be doing an ultrasound right then and there as well.
