Some legislators in Texas State House are talking about it as if saying, Oh, but don't worry, if you are a US passport holder, this doesn't affect you. How ridiculous is that for someone like the coworker I'm talking about who's been her whole life in America? All of a sudden you're saying you can purchase property. What happens to the property that they already own? Are you really going to kick them out of their own house because they don't have a US passport?"
