The Importance of Mercy

Paul's point is that it's not human will or exertion that does this. It's God that does this, he says. The decision of God shows up in Paul and that's the seed that's being passed down through humanity until it's revealed in Jesus. Once you realize that God has redeemed you through no merit of your own well then there's this impulse to say well God why can't you save everyone? That's what happens in Scripture.
