The Gamification of Terrorism
Terrorists and far-right groups are co-opting the language and aesthetics of video games to encourage people, young men, to commit acts of terror. In conspiracy theories, for example, if you're trying to talk to someone online on Twitter and trying to argue with them, they might go and call you an NPC or a bot. And so that's just a case where people kind of can't help but see the world as a game.
