Every 1% increase in EU migrants in the UK led to a 0.8% decrease in the wages of native workers in the bottom 10%. And interestingly, a 0.6% increase in the wage of the highest earners. So what is happening is that immigration is competing against the lowest earners, decreasing their wages. But it's complementing the wages of higher earners. Why?
