The Sepulchre of the Eucharist in Late Mediaeval England

The sepulchre is the interpretive crox for understanding popular religion in late mediaeval england. The purpose was to focus, obviously, the symbolic focus of holy christ's cross and passion but also reinforce the doctrine of the eucharist. And so this corresponded with the watch that would be kept over the tomb, which is something we do in the orthodox church to day,. Something they did in the mediaval west as well. So it's just interesting to see how these patterns kind of dislike, manifest themselves in these way that christians celebrate holy week.
