The Importance of Technology in the COVID-19 Pandemic
Internet technology started being used more than ever before during the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Council for Online Education defines remote education as taking materials and methods designed for in-classroom teaching and placing them in an out-of-classroom setting using the internet. In 2021, the United States Department of Education enacted a policy that had been in the works before the pandemic to define what qualifies as distance education.
