The Infinite Unknowability of God
The capidocian fathers insist that we can rather paradoxically know this unknowable God. Gregory of Nissa puts forth a radical response to this dilemma. The reward we receive through contemplation, and even in the afterlife, is ceaseless progress along an infinite but never-ending path of knowledge.
