The term menstrator is an attempt to be more genera and clus about our language. Not everybody who experiences a period identifies as a woman. Getting a period really only s that you have a uterus and those harmonial changes don't make up a menstral cycle. So gender as a social construct is a completely separate conversation to the biological function of getting a period.
