The Fallacy of Errantism
Inerrantist thinking all of scripture is true. They're not so prefer, sir, stupid except to uninformed 21st century eyes and Western culture. There were times when God permitted certain things like polygamy for a larger purpose. But he overlooked it because the human race was not ready at that point. He had bigger issues to deal with later. It became clear and on it goes.
