John Rawls' theory of global justice is not as strong and my book is really all about how his theory for domestic justice has so much to offer us. We have stronger different obligations to our family members than we do to our fellow citizens, he says. In capitalism it's not the state that is the coercive institution but the capitalist market which relies on a very distinctive kind of coercion based on the lack of cooperation between states.
