APL Data Type - What's the Difference?
The NAR specification has an actual primitive that uses all characters with spaces and all numbers with zeros. That's literally called type off. But again, doesn't care about internal representation at all. It exists still in the APL, but only available by changing that quad ML,. Although you can get the same effect because of the nested array system preserving the internal types. You can only have an array one element that has length zero. So there's always an element that keeps the type.
