The UK government wants to effectively ban new petrol and diesel sales by 2030. Yet at the same time, the take up of electric cars is never quite there. The issues with expense and never quite overcome for many people. Apart from nuclear, there just isn't a superior technology. China and India have no interest in surrendering hydrocarbon economy.
