I feel like there's only a handful of dudes whose work just really kind of blows me away in 2017. And one of those people is absolutely undoubtedly Blake Mills. I have to admit, when I heard the Sound and Color record by Alabama Shakespeare, it was weird because at that time, I was just doing these headphones walks around the neighbourhood. It's definitely different to throwing some dynamics in EQ on something, even though you might think you can achieve the same result. Something about the spectral dynamics processing in the soothe will give you something new. So thanks Blake.
