The Transfiguration of Lazarus
In the synoptic tradition it's the transfiguration that really marks that time of hey we're going to Jerusalem and there's no looking back. Now as we approach the end of this chapter notice verse 53 and 54 then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death so this is another turning point. In John's gospel it's the raising of Lazarus which in a way is a transfiguration of sorts on the mound of transfiguration. Do you see who Jesus is? Here at Lazarus tomb. Oh and no mere mortal someone being raised above the level of mere mortality now that turning point his end is now approaching.
