The Importance of Basic Income in the Labour Market
I suppose there is a strong feminist argument to say women are disadvantaged in the labour market. They have to take out significant amounts of time from the labour market to have children, they are paid less because of paid discrimination. But we're not talking about targeting women, we're talking about revaluing work and giving monetary support for workers full stop. A basic income allows you to make it more loose and broadens it out so that actually it talks about all sorts of other kinds of things without tying it to women specifically.
