The Rise of Gender Inequity in the Global Economy
Women still earn 82 cents for every dollar earned by men in 2021. When you start to break that out by women of color for example you come down to Hispanic or Latino women earning 57 cents, an African American or black women earning 64 cents so what that tells you is that it does matter and it expands when we say all women. The underemployment factor where women are often in the informal versus the formal economy. And on top of all that we've got this intrinsic desire to care for those around us. So I think that that's really a compound situation that's leading a lot of women to go "I've had enough"
