The Urban Rural Difference in Diabetes Rates
In urban areas, there are lots of things which promote diabetogenesis as we call it. And these things lead to obesity. If at all the rural area man may have a bullock cart or he may have a cycle and so on. He is not going to have scooters and cars and so on except if you are rich in the rural area. The common man does not have. Second thing is that pollution is so much more in urban areas compared to rural areas where the air is relatively clean. PM 2.5 particles can be linked to diabetes, obesity, hypertension, heart disease, even cancers and soon. So, that could be yet another factor in urban areas.
