It's like somehow it has to be our young innocent vulnerable selves that descend into our psychological deep woods. We can't test ourselves without danger, without risk. The older part the more mature parts of psyche are already established and they're too well defended for those kinds of risks. Trickster flips the power from the wolf and the hunter to red cap and her grandmother. trickster upends the social order. Upends that which is seen to be the powerful to that which is see to be the powerless.
