The Moche Culture of Mesopotamia
The fact that this area was an urban centre is also quite significant. The considerable depictions of warfare point us towards a competitiveness between neighboring tribes and settlements. So we must be careful to acknowledge this when reviewing the moche culture. It is highly likely that they did not view themselves as a single nation, and it was much rather likely to be a competing group of settlements with a shared culture. We can suppose that the late bronze age collapse of the eastern mediterranean sea in the late second millennium b t e may have been triggered by a series of earthquakes.
