How to Federate With Mastodon Servers

The question of whether or not Mastodon will federate with other servers is still up in the air. Each server, you know, to your point, right, is going to figure it out. But let's just assume for the moment, I think if I'm running Facebook, right, like I'm definitely going to say, yes, we will Federate with anything because they believe in open source.
