The discovery that there were s weird, invisible nutrients in food was this huge era of optimism around we finally understand all these previously mysterious diseases. So it's a time of great optimism - but also colonialism. It does not work so well in the ways that we are sort of applying it now, which is like cancer bewhirling. You at the right foods, and you right where you're like, no, that's real trill grifty.
