Sindy: Ethical life has tended to be overlooked by the dominant anglo american and or western european concepts of ethics. She says that we get, especially with utilitarianism, that the human moral agent is an individual cut off from the rest of the world. We can go to those high stakea spaces, like the way in which we imprison one another,. but it also leads us to reform more mundane interactions that we have with other animals. It's not as if you can make an intervention at the level of each particular elephant and hoya si a change in behavior - let alone throw them into prison.
