The book is about the evolution of what it means to be an Evangelical in the contemporary US context. The author studied with David Gashay, he was my master's advisor. He and I worked together for a year before I started my PhD. There were interesting debates that were kind of going on behind the scenes in 20th century American Christian context about this very question.
