The attention span of a typical mobile user, or basively typical person in this day and age, is very low. You not going to achieve long term retention if the product snot solving a problem or delivering value in some way for the uses. So on boarding and activation being really key steps. Things like gamification or soroo beav science type stuff can become super interesting. In terms of messaging, i'd say there's still a channel that works but it's getting tougher as time goes by. But you know, how you leverage these channels is incredibly impactful.
