Is a Re Issue of a Record Being Done?

There are records that were made in the beginning of the digital era where the digital master tapes are now no playable. And so it would be impossible to do a hyphi rendition of the record from the riginal master tapes, because the original master tapes are unplayable. To re issue those records, what's done is that a surviving commercial released, commercially released copy, either in l p or a c d, is found and then a transfer is made from that on to a new onto a new production master and that's it. That's all you get, is lt. You get a dub of a record, you know. So i think that that is exploitive and fraudulent
