The Importance of First Person Experience

i don't think first person experienced can be a significant way of arriving at some form of cultural consensus. What goes into the culture is not the first person experienced, but what you make of it afterwards. You cannot enforce your first person narrative or your conclusions to the rest of the culture because that's arbitrary. All you can do is transform yourself. And if enough people transform themselves, then a new culture narrative will emerge naturally. We have to stick to something objective. That's how we transform a culture. I am with cristov that the personal self doesn't exist. Ittis just a story. There is no substance a, but there is at least the illusion of a personal self
