The History of Race

Janine: My dad was really adamant about making sure that we knew and also growing up in, in, in my neighborhood, I told you the history of it. He singled me out all the time, you know, poked fun at me and stuff. But looking back, I'm like, oh, it was just, it was a racist guy. So I'm really happy with the way that I was raised because I can look back and not even in a devastating way. Not in a way where they did me wrong. Like, no, I'm stronger because of it.
